Sayumi was a cute little girl back then. Her mother made her learn instruments, starting from the basic guitar and piano and gradually moving on to violin and others.
When she was 4, she made friend in Aeval. They liked to play the piano together.
At age 11, she met the Amane and befriended Toshiro. The four of them often play songs together.
She was only 13 when this started to get hectic with the whole magic thing. Seeing Aetas made her really happy, though.
At age 15, she was sick of Akihito's attitude and slapped him on the face. He didn't see it coming, did he?

Akihito was often left in care of some caretaker and a talented chef when he was small. When he was 4, his parents bought him a Gameboy Advance and a couple of Pokemon game.
Thus his life as a gamer started. Age 9, he became Toshiro's unofficial guardian, although it was more about protecting him from mean girls.
At age 13, his family and he moved to Japan from London.
When he was 15, he had been running away from a small acid flood in Vidaela. (The faeries had it easy; flying)
He was 17 when he was slapped by Sayumi for sort-of being a playboy. (boy, she's scary!)

Toshiro was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia when he was 3 years old. His mother doted him.
At age 8, he was free from the clutches of cancer and successfully lived through 3 years without relapse.
Age 12, his family and he moved to Japan. He met Aeval and got close with Sayumi.
At age 14, he was pulled to Vidaela along with his brother and friends. He liked Aetas, the giant bronze dragon that protected Clockwork Alley for centuries.
He lived through his 15th year in the world figuring out his first love dilemma. Late much?

Aeval was spoiled since birth. Cake, ice cream, candies, you name it, her parents will get it for her.
Then, at age 6, her mother died. She did not change much and nor did her father.
At age 12, she met the Amane family. Not much had changed.
At age 14, she was, too, dragged to Vidaela. She found a new friend in Jack the horse.
Age 15, she was ready to rip her hair out because Toshiro was a bit too oblivious for her liking.
